i never knew they made a solo baric when they were still using the oldschool gold kicker logo. awesome

I've never found any info on these either... I asked the local kicker dealer who's been pushing kicker stuff since the early 1990's if he ever heard of these or seen them before and he says no first ones are the C-series followed by D-series.

I'm wondering if they are some kind of fake? and the solo-baric writing was added later or something? Only place I've ever seen them are ebay a couple times..

For the oldschool black with gold writing I've only seen competion separates series and free air and this is all kicker has listed on their site as well...

Either way the original black and gold were some of my favorites I ran a pair of 12's about a year ago off 750 rms and the sounded great.

The pawn shop in town has nothing but old school stuff. It is overpriced thus why they have had it all so long. I am talking old school. The hifonics aMp I saw the other day has to be the first amp made by them. I bought a punch 500a2 and a ppi art amp. I got them at a good price there.

Nope, not fakes. These were the very first series Solo's. I bought them new and they came in Kicker boxes.

Model S-10...

...notice the "Stillwater Designs" stamped into the magnet...

series 7 and 8 hi fonics...Ive posted about them several times...the very best of the best from Hi Fonics...I lost interest in Hi Fonics after the 8's..this is my first time I looked at the old school thread...very nice...My self and my friends are now in our 40's (at least) and most of us started out in our teen years here in St.Louis...We've had over the years Hi Fonics and old school fosgate collections. We seem to end up buying and selling and trading the same amps back and forth between us..Who knows how many times I've bought the same **** amp and never even put it in a car before I sold it again and then bought it back again and my friend had never put it in his car either..we use em like poker chips or somethin...it gets kinda stupid but we all know what each other has cause we all have had them all at one time or another..We used to swap them in and out of the cars on virtually a daily basis but over the years it just get old so now we just barter with them..its like the amp stock market..**** half the time the amps dont even change hands any more..we just know who actually currently owns them...Anyway..great pics..great thread...

...Look at the morels...I had 4- 6"in the back deck of a 72 cutlass..they we untouchable for mid bass..300 watt capable 3 inch hexatech voice coils..Thats a speaker...
You've got to quote the post, dude. I want to see them, but I'm not going to dig trough the entire thread again for it...
