I have done 163's w/ a single 8" on 400wrms in a USACi portwars setup.

Maybe he had a BS shop install the setup and meter it at the port???

Sadly, I have seen some local shops pull that trick to help 'sell' people on a setup.

For instance, a local guy w/ 2 Crossfire 15's was "metered" 151ish by another local shop on their Audio Control meter. He later came to me and I metered him on my TL...he hit ~144dB. Those of you that have had experience w/ the AC-meter know exactly why 'that shop' was able to show his system hitting 151...lol...sensitivity knob.

For those of you that don't know about the AC-meter. On the main unit, there is a sensitivity knob. If the meter is calibrated properly, then you can easily get close to a REAL # for SPL...but all it takes is a little turn of the knob to fake a score. Even during a competition w/ the AC meter...one can just turn the knob and 'show' afar higher score than what is really happening.

That is what makes the TL great, during a show the meter sensitivity is LOCKED based on the K-value of the sensor within the computer program. That way, everyone is on the same playing field. But w/ the AC, all is takes is a little turn of the knob on the main unit to falsify a score.

Hell, years ago I used have have friends stand guard behind the judges booth for Whitley SPL shows to make sure people didn't get robbed by the judges changing the mic sensitivity.

94 LX Accord (gauranteed best running 94 on the road)

Its got these stock hubcap rims, I think there like huge *** 15's or some ****, an automatic transmission that shifts ALL BY ITSELF, like a muthaaf*kin robot! Yea thats right! My transmissions got a robot in it! Can you say THAT manual fooooools? Either way, this Accord is awesome! In all seriousness, I can vouch that this is one of the best running 1994 cars on the road today. It was bought brand new by my mom, who drove it like a grandmother on drugs, and then handed down to me! This car has never seen past 5,000 RPM, because I like to ride loowww and sloww. It was in an accident in 2010, I rear ended somebody. I got the entire front end fixed PROFESSIONALLY by a Franchise Corporation, Sterling Auto Body, and it cost me $2700 to fix! It is completely and fully fixed, in every way shape or form, it is literally a car that has never seen an accident basically put. I have the paperwork for everything that they fixed, which was basically anything that was f*ked! And Not even 3 weeks ago, I just got this mofo's ****** fully rebuilt! So its got a Brand New Front End, hood, radiator, headlights, blah blah blah, and a fully rebuilt transmission! Add that to the fact that this car was driven extremely liberally and you've got yourself a car that is F**KING AWESOME!"

I don't know if this is real because it almost brought me to tears, I laughed so hard. I just e-mailed the guy saying I had to come see it (I hope he responds and lets me go out so maybe I can get this quack on tape)

do you need a sound system that will blow your freinds away well i have what you need, the system is in a car hooked up right now so you can come here it no bs real deal. i have 2 amps =7000w together peek and 3000w rms, both amps have 2 cooling fans so they do not get hot. i also have them driving 2 15'' L5 solo kickers in 2 seperet seeled boxes, i also have a 10f cap so there is no light dim from base. it is hooked up 2ohm. this is a very good deal beast bang for your buck also comes with the wires and 3 100amp fuses and a spliter for the amps. now there is 2 big amps and 2 seprit boxes with so if it is to much base for you or you just want more room you could put one amp and sub in your ride and sell the other set or put it in your other car if you have one. call me anytime to see them hit my number is 847 504 6738 and my name is james. the car that they are in is a 97 turbo eclipse that is for sale also for $3000 with out the system $4000 with it. i can turn on one amp at a time one sub at a time to show you they both hit hard and everything works tip top will last a long time. should hit around 150db to the front floor boards.
