I plan on running a HO alt, and a second battery my question is when hooking up the batteries will it hurt my normal battery or is everything cool and my second battery will be in the back of the car do i have to run the ground to the alt also. Thanks

if you have already run the ground to alt for the big 3, then you are fine. the second battery does not need a second circuit for the alt.

some people run just a positive from front to rear between batteries and ground the rear battery to the frame... others run + and - from front to rear.

it is purely your choice.

hah for referance.

Some bed trucks have 4, 3 grounds and the power.

The engine bed ground is additive.

Also, I see many people using 1/0 for the power and removing their origional STILL.

The post is only sooo big guys. You'll f*** up your new h.o. alt over time ;]

Just run 4awg and 2 at lowest while keeping the origional wire. 1/0 the engine and bat grounds. Keep the wires as short as possible too. I keep seeing people run that shit half way around the engine comp. wtf
