i get my first magazine today.. and just wanted to see everyones imput on what they think.. is this mag good or bad...

It used to be really good back in the late 80's through the mid 90's.

They did large comparison shootouts between similarly priced amps, components, and subs, and it was filled with many excellent tech articles about installing.

It wasnt unusual for it to be 140 pages.

Now its a sad shell of its former greatness.

The few articles about installing are so brief, and the text and photos so small, that they are really worthless for trying to learn anything.

Sure, I still buy it, but I dont like it.

i recieved the FEB. and March issues and i have looked at the feb one so far..

it seems to be a lot of ads of brands that i have never been heard discussed... before..

if anyone has see these issues let me know what you think.. this is my first issure of this mag....

I have had a subscription for several years now. Seems like its getting less and less. Just counted March. 25 of 98 pages are full page adds. I wish there was a car audio magazine geared primarily with DIY projects. Real people showing off their work. Not some crap that some rich brat paid $$$$$ to have someone else do it for them. There are a lot of people out there with great talent to do it themselves. Show it off!

If they are going to have 98 pages of advertising they could at least have 10-12 pages of ***** women holding these products.

I agree, Have had subscription for about 8 years and it was the greatest. I built my first ported box with help from that mag, and the yearly guide was like the bible. It had gotten out of hand though, the comparisons are all but gone and, Install tips are not detailed enough to help anyone. I still get one every month, and its sad to say there isnt much else out there.

I love it, i really do...people that complain and complain, yet they STILL put money into these ****ing retards pockets...
god, makes ya wonder why these guys still print the magazine doesnt it...

hmm kinda like MTV...everyone just says "man i hate it, "Juvies" now, real world, my sweet mother ****ing 16!?!? its called Music Television but no music...oh well im still gonna watch it..."
