***Official 2009-10 NFL THREAD***

And it's exactly why I hate the dude.
Its all about the win and the management tho dude.. Do you really think Jackson is better than favre?? Except for being quicker on the feet, no.. So who are the coaches gonna go with? Favre, because for the most part he is one of the best in the league, Interceptions or not.. U say he had the most interceptions? Well The Vikes made it further than what 29 other teams? with a better record than most

Whether you like Favre and the Vikings or not, you have to look at the end of this game from a neutral stance. Every call in OT went in the Saints favor. Am I saying that they did not deserve to win? Certaintly not. But it does **** that three VERY close calls (Thomas fourth down run, meachams catch, pass interference) all went towards a horribly unsatisfying end. Its too bad, because both teams played a very tough game and the game essentially came down to a coin flip.

You'd have to be borderline retarded to say that Jackson is better than Favre, but Favre is old & Jackson is young. Who's to say that we've seen the absolute best of Jackson, man? QBs sometimes take several years to become successful, and pivotal time has been taken away from Jackson at this point. Brett Favre is a plug in, man. He offers no long term solution at all. And it's real easy to say stuff like" Favre is one of the best in the league" when looking at stats, but there's more to football than stats. You saw what Brett Favre is, was and will continue to be tonight when the game was on the line. He had tons of daylght, but did he run with the ball? His team could've possibly made a game winning FG and punched their ticket to the big game, but did he throw the ball away? No, he threw a bad pass across his body right into the gut of a defender. Favre has ALWAYS been bad for that and no amount of him being "one of the best in the league" has ever stopped it.

But yeah, the Vikes were good this year. They were supposed to be good before Favre ever came into the picture...

The NFL needs to do something about their overtime format. I've held that opinion for quite a while...

I think the only blatent miscall was the BS pass interference call in OT. Everything else seemsed pretty much fair! Vikings should be more concerned with the fumbles and INTs rather than the penalties. They lost it themselves!
