Observe my wiring

This was not meant to be the cleanest job. I want to make sure I have it completely right before I make it nice.

I have an infinity reference 611a mono amp and right now it should be wired for 2ohms I checked. And the way that I have it hooked up now im sure the type R can take more power, but if I bridge it the final ohm load on the amp will be 1ohm right? What would be the best way to wire this and get more power, by the way this amp claims to be only 2ohm stable so I do not want to go below that.

Why is the red wire in ground, and the black wire in +12v?

Normally, when a system is wired up, red wire is +12v hooked to the battery and the black is ground... hooked to a chassis ground.

yup, as long as the wiring ont he sub looks like this:

Then you'll be putting a 2 ohm load on the amp, and since it's a mono amp, there is no way to bridge the channels, because you need a 2 channel amp that supports that feature to do so.

Be sure you have a fuse on the power wire within ~3 feet of the battery as well.
