My ex girl friend who has MS for starters. She is uninsurable unless she finds a job that offers healthcare. In those cases, they often allow for pre-existing conditions.show me someone who does not have health care under the current programs that already exist; and I'll bet they can afford it, but opted not to purchase it, because if they cannot afford it it's free already as long as they sign up for it.
This change dose not affect me I drink water. (^_^)
Brilliant approach.I dont drink soda, only water. So it doesn't matter to me.
If she is without income or has very little, there likely is a state program that will subsidize and guarantee her coverage even with a pre-existing condition. My ex girl friend who has MS for starters. Oftentimes, private OTC healthcare doesn't allow those with pre-existing conditions or the premiums exceed yearly income. (She didn't make much money when we were dating)
She could afford catastrophic insurance, sure, but that doesn't cover those cost of her medicine, which is quite expensive (~40/day) from what I recall.
If she keeps her job, she is in good shape.
She made too much to be on TennCare (our version of medicare). She was caught in the narrow gap of making too much for subsidies, not enough to afford. Think about it, she was dating me...I don't blow money. If she is without income or has very little, there likely is a state program that will subsidize and guarantee her coverage even with a pre-existing condition.

Indeed....Her unfortunate situation is not enough to justify the egregious shortcomingsof a nationalized single payer health care system.
Sorry bud, if he signs the bill he owns it, he can't wiggle his way out of this one.you guys act like this is new? they have been talking about taxing soda and fast food for like 10 years. first it was because they were concerned about childhood obesity, now they are finding uses for the money......

Sorry guys, I worded it wrong. You know what I meant. We need bipartisanship before anything will get accomplished.Wait, you are calling for an end to bipartisanship?
