Oak Enclosure With Metal Aero Port

I'm building an enclosure for 2 Sundown zv3 12's....going in a Volvo hatchback

Box will be made of 3/4" Red Oak plywood and finished with clear lacquer.

no nails or screws on the outside, box will be pocket screwed from the inside.

It will also have a metal oval aero port built by Bill Lolo.

He has it now, and he lives like an hour away.

He was looking for suggestions on smoothing the weld seams...and where the port and flanges meet, there's a slight dip that needs filled in.

Any suggestions?
