could be hearing ur engine through a bad ground or grounding loop

Re-grounded it for a 2nd time this morning. I know I've heard of it before, but what exactly is a grounding loop again?

It kinda sounds like it could be your speaker wires grounding to the frame of the car, or your amp is fuxzor'd.

how loud is the noise from the subs? I had a similar problem with my setup, I grounded one of the speaker leads while playing with my LED circuit. The subs just started going nuts (really loud random bass). Luckly I didnt **** anything up.

It started happening out of nowhere though.

Everything was hooked up problem free for 3-4 months before any noise.
