I'll be looking forward to hearing your opinion of it in the new enclosure.

I think I will too! From the vids on fb and word of mouth it'll sound good I know, I was just thinking what malfunction wise could be wrong with this sub so I pushed even across the sub in my sealed enclosure and when it went down it was smooth didn't feel like anything was wrong and then I said man that went down easy and I pushed down again and low and behold a heard air coming out of the box so its a pretty big leak. And it was a prefab junkie so its expected.Couple of things from what I have read.
#1 The Dcon is not broken in yet.
#2 The most logical option for the output desires is to port the Dcon first
#3 Keep in mind this is a 300 rms ratted SQ biased sub woofer, please don't expect Xcon level of output from the Dcon.
So once it is ported and broken in, I really feel you will like the output as the performance per dollar ratio of the Dcon is very hard to beat.
And yeah I only linked my XCON video in reference to your post about upgrading to a different SSA 12. Obviously the xcon and the dcon are completely different animals.I think I will too! A leak will cause issues. Hope you can get a solid ported box built. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifI think I will too! When I pulled the sub out the old box it was a lil loose and hanging off so I pushed it back on and to think of it I didn't hear it at first web it was playing maybe it shook loose again at the glue hardened on the side and the hard spot is flopping against the back of the cone.Double check the foam padding is still behind the tinsel leads, mine came off after a while.
