Not happy w/ my setup (Some Pics)

Its nice to buy high end and not know how to use it. I love it.
Was i supposed to waste my money on something from best buy then upgrade later? I like quality therefor i did my HW and went with quality products

thanks for the input //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/redface.gif.62fdbfe1a101588a808c4cff71bcb942.gif

I set my gains with a dmm because i dont know any shops locally that actually have an o-scope. From what i understand from readying gain setting threads i've set them correctly.

bass knobs are really that terrible?

If i set the gains with the bass knob attached then i should have the same sound results after disconnecting it, right?

I "assume" he means the remote gain knob. Nothing wrong with using one of those.

How about leaving the seats down and making a "grill" to cover the opening? Just cut out an MDF ring and use speaker grill cloth. Something like this and seats still fold up perfectly.

If using a bass knob and hu sub control, make sure the knob and the hu sub control are set to max, then set the gain on the amp itself.

subs/port into cabin.. flip the box around.. port on drivers side sub on passenger side.. dmm to check ur gains.. folding seats up/down isnt a hassel unless u drive from the back seat
that looks like a new civic (i think) and if its like my 05 its kinda a pain to fold down the seats because they lock when you fold em up so to fold them down you have to crawl back there and unlock them with the key. for a grown man to climb into the back of a civic isnt very fun lol

well that blows.. mine just fold up and down at the pull of a string.. maybe tape the locks so that they dont latch when folded up.. they should stay up until pulled down.. that saves a load of crawling and unlocking

exactly. my accord is the same as that year of civic. to fold down the seats you have to either reach in the trunk to unlock the seats or manually do it with your key. hence why i said hassel/spelling

Off hand I would say that with the size of the box, the aiming, and being a new (better insulated) vehicle that you just aren't getting much sound into the cabin itself.

Do you have rear speakers? If so, remove those to open up some fairly large holes into the cabin.

Have you tried facing it forward?

Ive had actually good sucesss with sub up, and port to the side on trunk cars. But really, you can only get so loud with a trunked application then you're throwing money and power at an unreasonable expectation.
