If you were at 14v cranked, it is likely the amp. 14v is plenty for an amp to operate

yeah, no problems with voltage. like my buddy said to me. the headlights are just built-in volt meters. amp shopping.

that's what i thought. i couldnt remember tho. man go with the kx1200. if u camp ebay can snagg for right under $200...i love the kx on mine. i got two strapped at 2.66 ohms on my 3 p3's...and they push them nice. if i run full tilt for long periods of time (10-15 mins) the center of my cone gets warm...but nothing too severe...and i run the bass boost and crap down unlike most kids around here who clip the sht out of their equipment

i have that amp on all stock electrical, 4ga power/ground at 1ohm with gain right around 2/3 and it has never cut out or even got hot for that matter. My stock alt is 102 amp...i do however get dimming lights.

Not a volume knob btw... did you set them correctly?

My crx didnt have a backseat...came with the little carpet piece, and a plastic thing under that...the hatch is full, all the way up to the back of the seats lol. the box was actully built for a s10, one of my buddies, but i threw it in CRX to see what it sounded like, and busted that 146.8 on all stock electrical, just optima battery up front instead of stock...and is all set up for daily...

i am fully aware that it is not a volume knob. No, i did not set it with a dmm, but it is set below distortion even at levels much higher than I listen to. My deck only has 1.5v preouts, and the gain would be at about the 1230 position if it were a clock....so i feel fine with my gain setting
