not getting the lows out of my fi q 12

Just got my 12 inch q in the mail yesterday, was packaged with much care and got here in a timely manner considering the holidays, thanks fi. The sub is in a 2.5@32hz box, not sure of the port area, will have to check that later tonight when im home. The sub is being pushed by a US Amps XT4000d(1500rms@1 ohm), so it's getting all the power it needs. The Q gets fairly loud and sounds great with different types of music, but i'm just not getting the lows that i was expecting after reading all the reviews on it. Songs like soul survivor and the low note in hypnotize just aren't being played with authority. Could this be due to the suspension being stiff since it's new? when it loosens up it will become more pronounced, i had issues with mine getting as low as my previous setups as well, so i got rid of mine.

i few others have had the same issue but after being forum bashed to hell they ended up conceeding that they sounded fine. Its a great sub, im just used to my XXX's and Mags.

haha well i wont be conceeding to forum bashing, most of which is by people who i assume have never even heard the sound personally. I was thinking my box might be a little too big? it's either 2.5^3 or 2.7^3, again ill have to check the details when i get home.

yea mine was on the exact amp as yours and was a 15 had the same issues changed to a sundown ...same issue = bye bye Q

just another thought, the us amps xt4000d amps crossover is horrible so your amp may be a reason your missing some of the goodness, but as said before i changed amps and still didnt get what i wanted.

U R such a noob the fi q hits hard and really low if you cant hear it then its all in your head or ur amp sux.... i have 4 fi qs in an i play late nite tip and it pounds really low and clean

it sounds real good if you think otherwise then GTFO noob .
