2 vs 1

seems like a stupid question but im tryin to decide on 2 maw 15s or 1 ixl 15 from mach 5.the ixl15 and maw 15s will both get the same power but the maws hav 1/2 the excursion of the ixl. its the same price for either 2 maws or 1 ixl.which would be better/louder.i have all the room to make proper boxes for either.does more excursion always mean louder?would this 1 sub with 2x the excursion of the other 2 be better,or would they equal out.

1st let me say not experienced with these subs but in general two is better than one

one sub gives u half the cone area of two

and displacement is important

if the two are garbage and the one is good go with one

but if they are both quality woofers go with two all day

I posed this question a few weeks ago. I was told two maw 15's > one IXL 15.
