Not getting much output from 15" Q Sealed

Ok, well my current setup consists of a 15" Q, BX-1500d (1500w @ 1ohm) and a sealed 2.1cu box (birch). And I am not getting very much output at all. I had the Q in a 4cu ft @ 32hz box before this 2.1cuft sealed box, and it WANGED hard as hell, but now it is defiantly lacking.

Settings are as Follows:

Gain on BXi-1500d @ 1/2

Bass Boost off (BXi-1500d)

SSF turned Off

Gain has been set on amp

Headunit Settings: (Pioneer 5800mp)

- Sub level is @ 3/6

- Bass level @ 4/6

I really don't know what to do. I know sealed is not as loud as ported, but I don't really have any output. Wiring is correct (checked it thrice) on the sub, amp, everything.

What to do?

maybe you need to put your sub level on 6/6. I'm not sure if it's the same, but alpines sub level needs to be 15/15 to get the full 4v out of the pre-outs.

Maybe I am really confused about how to set gains...
But, I NEVER put my sub output all the way up... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
The sub-out level on your Alpine?

I set mine at 12 out of 15... for the level.

Also, aren't you the r-tard that wasn't happy with it ported? Then figured it out?

It is OBVIOUSLY going to be NOTICEABLY less sealed.

agree about the sealed be quieter, but it should still be pretty loud.

Like I said in my first post, I knew it wasn't going to be as loud as ported. I never said I didn't like it ported, all I said was I wasn't getting that much output, but I fuxored around with my HU to get more sound.

I've been told, the sub-level clips @ 5/6 and up

I switched to sealed, because the ported box was too big and I don't have enough room in my trunk for other things (bags, can't get spare tire out).

As for connections...like I said, the connections are all good, nothing is wrong with them.

I had the same issue when I went from ported to sealed, after messing around with the setup on & off for a little over a week I finally got some output out of it.

Its acceptable, and dependant on the song can get pretty loud. Its still liked the ported version better but its done for now.
