Not getting loud!!!!

you are a cocky person aren't ya?
You obviosuly know nothing about setting the gain on an amp.

Your probably one of those people that have there sub preout settings all the way up and the gain turned all the way up.

dont jump down my shit just because you have a high post count. I hardley ever cruise this board and I now know why. Unless you own a alpine deck I dont want

to hear your input. I took back one of my first Alpine decks that had a sub control and 4v preout because of not knowing to turn the sub out. The DEALER quickly showed me what was going on.

I am not cocky in any way, I just have had EXPERIENCE with alpine headunits. People even have agreed with me about alpine pre out voltages.

Do you think eveyone has access to a Oscope to test it out like it should.

Actually you all need to chill and stop talking shit because green machine is correct. Why not read the entire "Gain setting tutorial" that you guys recommend to others so that you will avoid sticking your feet in your mouth. Pay particular attention to page 8.

if you are a dealer then you should of know that. Anyway..

I was just giving my input because I could relate to the same problem this guy had.

I have a power acoustic amp says it does 2400 at 2ohm. I had two eclipse subs that do 300 max each. Put it this way I could BARLY hear them. So I bought a USED lightning audio amp(finally fried). Boy what a diffrence. I thinnk PA SUCKS, PA lovers dont jump on my cas because you think I have no experience, b/c I DO. Not just my amp but 2 other systems brands new in other cars. Get rid of yur amp!! PA is short for PyrAmid.

Whats wrong with setting your gains all the way up?? I have my settings on my HU and my amp all the way up for years (5 to be exact). Never fried anything. And it was a PA amp on MTX subs must be cause they are the best stuff on the market and can handle anything. lol Sorry being an Moron

P.S. Stop slamming PA

You aboviously don't know what you are doing for a few reasons. That PA amp would blouw any lighting audio amp out of the water. That amp could have been fried or you wired your subs out of phase or something stupid.

Because it clips the hell out of the amp and distorts like crazy. Top put it short. I could explain more but i don't fell like typing for 15 mins.

I was just being stupid when i asked that question but it is true about me running my gain at full with no problems probably more cause i never cranked my HU. It was back when i was young and foolish //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

well if yout unit is at low and your gains are at high that would be understandable. But say 3/4'ths volume and gains all teh way up, nope amp is gonna kill itself and sound is gonna be destroyed. A good clean install is one that is done properly //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
