not getting enough power from remote wire??

I was installing an active crossover and a 4channel amp and notice that the amp goes into protect once i split the remote wire to the amp and xover. Pulled out my dmm and got a reading of 11.8 volts when its split, so iguess not enough volts for the amp is why it goes into protect mode. How do i solve this problem?

i tried running a jumper remote striaght from the battery + to the crossover so that i wouldn't have to split the remote wire to the amp and once the xover powers on the amp goes into protect. only does this when the xover is powered on. Wierd, I am puzzled.

the remote will work with little to no power as long as the amplifier detects somthing
