just got my ho 200 amp alt(pics)????

i was going to drop this baby in today and i wanted to do the big three. So i know alt + to bat +, engine block ground to chassis, - bat to chassis. but ive also heard that i should ground the case of the alternator but i dont see where??? also im using 1/0 awg

nevermind i had to read the instructions again and i see i dont need to ground the alt case since its already connected to the chassis

Run a ground wire from anywhere on the case of the alternator (the case of the alternator itself is grounded). I did my ground by placing a ring terminal on the bolt that holds the alternator to the engine block.

if you ground the engine, you really have no need to ground the alt IMO.

thx thats what i thought, also i see a lot of setup where people are just adding the 1/0 ga bat+ to alt+ on top of the stock wire. should i remove the stock wire or just add as well????
