Not for animal lovers..but I'm seriously

I'm not saying dogs aren't used for hunting. I have 2 dogs one use to hunt the new one I'm working on trai ing it for duck and geese hunting.
They would you suggest that a dog that is killing very small animals would not have hunted before? This is only assuming he has not. We can not say for sure and is no irrelevant as the dog is longer alive.

you must never have had a dog. when i lived in roanoke we had a boxer/roghty show up at our house. mean little thing. 6 months later i could slap it and wouldnt get a growl. dogs go by the surroundings of them and what they know. teach them something different and it will show

Do you know how hard it is to train in animal to not kill once it kills it's first time. Once that dog killed one animal it was game over. It was never going back.

I don't care he shot it. Using a demilitarized rifle to tear it to shreds then post on the internet about it, that is the problem. I will drop an animal in an instant if it is sick or hurt, or I plan to use it. I will how ever make sure it is quick and painless as possible. I guess not being a douche bag and hurting an animal on purpose makes me a sally. I guess I don't like getting put in the same label as you jack ***'s because I happen to own an AK47 and an AR15.
Dose it really make any difference what gun/caliber he used.....really? Dose it make a difference if it is a Military weapon? There are many non military rifles that chamber the 7.62x39. There are may rifles that chamber the .223 which is an excellent varmint round. What gun or round he used is, in reality,

is irrelevant.

In the end, a bullet is a bullet.

But 27 rounds is excessive and this did not need to be posted by the perp in a public forum.

Let's just agree to disagree on this so we don't flame each other over something silly and we will never know the answer over.

read the thread and you will see where I said I own 2. And I do not care what you say, not EVERY dog can be trained to do what you want it to do.

I bet if he would of posted all shooken up and no pictures stuff would of went down differently. But i mean he should of not started this subject on here. He should said he just shot it not how many or with what ect.

yes it does, being into guns your self you should know that all to well. If he used a 12ga shot gun and ran 50 rounds into people wouldn't say nearly as much against it as they would if they knew it was an AK47. ******* left wing douches use every excuse to get my ''assault'' rifles taken away.

I'm not flaming at all, only asking questions in response to your answers and statements.

If you can not or will not defend your answers/statements then perhaps they are not correct enough to post?

I take animal cruelty very personal in most cases. I understand the limits of possibilities and the need for some animals to be put down for safety or health reasons.

However, in this case there is no way any one can say this was justified or legal.

The OP said it himself, he was pissed and did it out of anger. As far as I can tell, the dog showed no signs of being aggressive but it did kill smaller animals like all animals will do. Dogs can be easily trained if you take the time to do it. Look at how many dogs used for fighting has been rehabilitated and make good pets. If he would have taken it to a humane society or a no kill shelter he could have found it someone to take it in and care for it, but no he over reacted, and shot it multiple times out of anger. There are laws in some states that if you are caught abusing animals you can loose your guns. I hope Tennessee has such a law and he loses his right to own firearms. What if next time its not a dog but his girlfriend or child that pisses him off to the point that he feels the need to put them down?

Like I said, I have pics of a few that I killed while on the battle field.....am I proud...NO....am I going to come on here and post pics and brag...NO.

And an fiy...I have these pics to remind me of what I had to do(at that time) and what I hope I will never be asked to do again.

I agree to an extent. I still don't agree with the situation. It is obvious that there are better ways to handle this and more various tactics could have been tried to better protect both the dog and the live stock.

I know of plenty dogs that will not out train their destructive nature. A lot of old fighting dogs are around here after being rescued. I've had to shoot plenty of them myself, I did how ever not corner it inside it's home and empty an entire magazine into it. Killing a dog because it is dangerous, sick, hurt beyond healing, ect. ect. is not a problem.

Dogs can be catagorized and have lists of the basic breed charactoristics (both physical and behavioral) because they were bred to have these traits. There was a russian scientist that did an experiment with foxes. He selectively bred the lest aggressive adults and continued this for a couple generations. What he was actually doing was reducing the testosterone levelsin the offspring. Soon he had foxes that barked, had spots, and floppy ears. Dogs are not found in the wild they were purposely engineered to do specific tasks. Alot of water oriented dogs have webbed toes to aid them in swimming. Guard dogs are bigger than most other breeds. Working dogs like huskies and bird dogs were specifily bred to be high energy so when thye are working they don't tire and quit.

If any dog can be trained to do anything? I would like to see a chihuahua trained to hunt bear.

you could train it to do that easily, all a hunting dog does is track and draw it out. They don't kill it themselves
