i dont see what the OP did wrong. he was feeding and caring for the dog so he can decide to put the dog down if he wants to.

Well he let his dog run loose and it killed 6 piglets. Those piglets could have easily grown to pigs and been used for bacon, so you can say he did wrong by lowering the bacon supply.

Or he could have looked into it an determined whether you had the time to train it, if not man up and drive it to a shelter. No reason to kill the kill because it did what is natural fro this breed.
People like you are exactly why I hate the south and rednecks with a passion. Also, as a side note I see rednecks all day long and loathe everyone of them. If it weren't for my family being here in WV I would go somewhere where the chance of running into a backwoods, slacked jawed yokel is slim to none.

Also, referring to a previous post, you can be a liberal and a gun owner. I am extremely liberal and own several guns.

99% of all shelters would have put THAT dog to sleep, put it down, killed it, whatever you want to call it.

The shelters near here do this all of the time. It may have just been better to drive him to the other side of town or out to a very rural area and just let him go and let it take its chances.

But you do see this kind of thing often......a "good" dog goes bad, gets "training" and quite some time later hurts someone. Then the questions get asked....

"why was this animal not dealt with prior to this happening?"

Like I said earlier, it is/would have been a loose-loose situation. OP looses for doing what he did, but if he did not and the dog hurt or killed a kid or someone.....

Again, it all boils down to the OP should have NOT posted his doings on a public forum. I can promise you that 99% of everyone on this forum do things that others will despise...but we/they do not go blabbing about it.

Here is how it is...

Life is life, not all will like what happens in life....

Do what you feel you have/need to do and keep it TO YOUR SELF!!

Simple as that.
