Not enough Watts

hey!! I don't come down to your place of leisure and slap the diks out of your butt and tell you "Dood! You could have gotten bigger for cheaper"

Jk bro..but I'm not chasing numbers..(yet).. I realize I could have spent less money and gotten more power. I am limited to a 95 amp alternator. I just can't throw Watts at my car like that.. $350 for clean 1600watts is not that expensive compared to a lot of other brands on the market.. car was built for personal nostalgia so is the stereo.... plus I've Got a Boner for zapco and SSA..

If you're chasing numbers, and trying to be competitive, do yourself a favor and just buy a meter. Doesn't need to be a TermLab if you're not doing clamped power classes, or if you don't have enough power to break out of that class anyway. SHOULD be one that is calibrated to a TermLab (SSA meter or SPL Labs meter).
No I'm not really chasing numbers (yet) I'm definitely not trying to be competitive. I just want my bug to be as loud as possible with the equipment that I paid for. Just tweaking in tuning

Yeah I'm going to have the port on the new box pointing straight up. And half of the port external . Cuz I don't have enough room to shove it all the way down and flush mount it . I thought about side porting it.. but then when the back seats flipped up you can't see the big fat **** 8"Port I don't have any room 2 point it backwards. Without losing my backseat.

Another big killer is the ragtop. The whole roof is vinyl

up fire is fine as well I wouldnt use an 8 inch port unless you have a lot more power on tap like a 4-5k amp

Ugh. Don't say things like that. I already bought the port. I was repeatedly told that a 6-inch Port would not be enough Port volume and I would get a lot of port noise...

Port noise is relative to input power a lot of setups with low power gained from less port area. When you start massively overpowering is when you need a lot of port area.
