Here's the crux of the issue for economic policy. While I wish everyone was a net saver, our economy simply would not function. The economy requires consumerism and materialism. How to have the best of both is a political and economical question that I do not have the capacity to answer.

Question about the insurance:
1) How much did he pay for the buildings?

2) How did he pay for the buildings?

3) How much was the insurance policy?

Answer those questions and one can easily determine whether or not he even made money on the deal.
True, he may or may not have. I don't know.

My only point is that these guys make such an issue of the timing of the purchase of the insurance and it is silly. Some also make a big deal about having coverage against acts of terrorism. Given the fact that one of the buildings had already been struck once, I am confident that I would have wanted that coverage as well.

I guess what they call a "series of coincidences" me and you call standard business practices.

freedoms slowly being taken away, Gas rising even higher---Wait this is already happening also.
Agreed much so with the first one, not so much with the second one. I, for one, still think gas in underpriced...It is articially held low to limit the incentive to chose alternatives based on price.

Anyone else exhausted after this thread? Let's all have a drink together

I totally understand this, but i dont understand how building 7 falls seeing its two blocks away and the plane struck the building the same side as building 7. BUT 4 and 5 some how survive being in the same plaza?

Here is another thing about the insurance. IIRC they had at least one lawsuit over the claim(s). The insurance carrier(s) fought this claim hard.

Of course if they could have proved arson they would not have had to pay a dime. So are we to believe the carrier did not raise this defense because it was in on the conspiracy as well?

Or is Cheesehead just that much smarter than the guys who paid out a fortune on these claims?
