I plan on going, its always a great show.

not going to be that good this year. i mean the cars might be ok, but the show itself isn't going to be so great. let me give you an idea. lincoln/mercury will have the same exact black/white wall display they've had for the last 3 years. along with many other major companies. i work for the sign and display union that does 90% of the work on the displays at NAIAS. usually i'm working about 70 hours a week minimum, from august to the day before the black tie event. this year i had to bounce around from shop to shop because nobody had any big accounts, and i only had about 4 weeks of 50+ hour weeks because nobody is doing anything new. pretty much everyone is just using the same shit they used last year. so if you went last year, or the year before, everything is going to be exactly the same except the cars. i got offered some free tickets through one of the companies i do work for, and i didn't even take them because i spent so much time down their last year, i already know what everything is this year.

Autoshows are for people who aren't honestly interested in cars.

Concept cars are lame, and every other car shown has already been revealed 1000 times over on the internet.

The most interesting companies don't have booths.
