Looking for some advice from you experts on this site…
I got a 2002 Silverado Crewcab. Going to upgrade the system. Not spending thousands of dollars but I’m not building it for competition. Just my own enjoyment. I have a stock system right now, but have bought some new pieces and am waiting to buy the sub(s) that I want. I’m looking for some bass I can feel, maybe even feel some on my chest a little…don’t need to blast so neighbors can hear it, and don’t wanna go def, just wanna feel some bass…I’m easily pleased as I think the system in my wifes mini van sounds pretty good to me but could use a small sub to top it off, so like I say, I’m easily pleased. System will look like this:
Stock head unit
Clarion XC1410 compact amp for door speakers
6.5 Kicker D Series for from doors
6.75 Kicker D Seriers for rear doors.
Alpine MRV-M500 Sub Amp.
Now I am at choosing my subs. I have 2 10” older MTX Thunder 4500 subs I can use in .8cf single boxes, or I can buy a Pioneer 10” slim in a pioneer box TSSWX2502. If I run the MTX subs, I can run them at 2ohms and push all the power they need, or the single Pioneer will be good as well with the sub and amp RMS matching. Any thought or recommendations are appreciated. I'd rather not build a custom box, prefer to buy one, but not much space behind back seat or under back seats.
