noob question

but if I wire in parallel wont that drop the load way low? and if I do it in series it will raise it up?
dual 0.7 wired in series/parallel will give you 1.4 ohms. Since there is two of them, you divide it by two. So you will end up with 0.7 ohms final impedance with two in series/parallel.

If you wire straight up series, then it would be 5.6 ohms for a pair.

If you wire straight up parallel, then it would be 0.35 ohms divided by two so 0.175 ohms final for two wired parallel.

If you are doing 4 of them, you can do a parallel/series(not to be confused with series/parallel) configuration ending up with 1.4 ohms.

if they really are .7 ohms then replace the numbers and do some basic math.

I plan on doing 2 subs to 1 amp, I have two 1600.1 brutus amps, I plan on connecting all 4 of them just to test the waters and see how they do on less than 800rms each. so for 2 subs to this brutus amp, I need to wire in series? because these amps are not exactly good enough to be wired below 1 ohm if I were to wire both subs in parallel. this is going to be a confusing process

So why are you asking about .7?
Remember its a "noob thread".... he probably did what i did with my very first build, buy what will beat my friends for the time being, as for a .7 ohm load, ive personally never heard of those but i like to stick with even numbers ( 2ohms or 4)
