Ok well I ordered this amp/sub for my 94 Honda Accord and now need to pick out some speakers and a dash unit

I also want XM satellite radio also (is there any good deals on a car kit)

I am building my first system and want to keep the cost pretty low. Think that sub/amp will be good?

Also where would be a good place to get this all installed? And will it be cheaper if I get it all done at once?

mine as well get some cheap MA audio speakers for your doors as well to have a matching setup. as for a head unit.. Look for a cheap pioneer to match the rest of your equipment.

i wish you hadn't got that sub and amp. no matter. if you've already ordered it, just make sure you do a grade A+ install. budget on the amp and front stage?
Whats wrong with that sub/amp?

And budget I guess 200 or lower on the front unit

speakers open (ill save up and do this part later if I have to)

it's just build quality mostly. it's hit or miss on MA's lower line if equipment. don't stress it. if that sub doesn't perform all that well in the sealed box, we'll help you build a ported one for that bish. 200 on a head unit will get you a pretty nice one. any particular options you'd like?

XM radio. Bluetooth would be nice but not required

Umm is there any that can play Zune?

Ok cool.

How much do you think all this would cost to get it installed? If its to crazy I am just going to try and do it myself, I have to learn sometime I guess //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

you should do it yourself no matter how much it is to install it,, Its a learning process and if you do it correctly you will enjoy your system even more knowing you installed it and saved 100 pluss dollars

I have no idea how much it would cost to get installed but it won't be cheap.

It's not very hard to do, the hardest part would probably be wiring the HU, but it will come with very good instructions.

Try to do it yourself first, if you have any questions come on here and ask, 9 outta 10 times you'll get the answer you were looking for. I personally feel better when I do something myself because I know exactly what's been done and how it was done.

Thanks for the advice guys! I think I am going to try and install it myself which means I will probably be back a lot //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I am a little worried about installing the amp. That seems like it will be the hardest?

Amp isn't too hard.

Power wire with an inline fuse close to the battery, ground wire as close to the amp as possible, a remote wire from the HU to the amp, and a set of RCA's from the HU to the amp. Make sure to hide them though, makes the install look a lot cleaner.

amps are simple to install. but take your time when running your wires so you dont have to fix a mistake.

FYI...dont turn the gain all the way up on the amp
