Noob Moments! Post em

my 1st system in my Explorer i had at the time.. a 2channel Kenwood amp..prolly 800watts peak and i had 4 of the Audiobahn $35 flame basket 12s in a box me and my stepdad built.. it was a HUGEbox that took up the WHOLE cargo area..and was NOT bolted down.. well i did a pretty nice job of covering it and it was intentionally gonna be sealed but a friend had these 2in cardboard tubes.. so we put 4 "ports" using these 2in tubes and hooked it up.. onl god knows wut ohm load we wired it too.. THEN a fewweeks later I got a deal on 3 used JL 10w0's in a wedge box and hooked them up to the 2nd channel of the amp...

so

1 800w peak Kenwood 2channel

4 Audiobahn $35 flame 12s

3 jl 10w0 10

My first setup. Circa 2001.

-2 10" MTX 4000's, the ones that circuit city sold for $100 a pair. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

-Used MTX blue thunder pro150x2 I bought off a friend for $60. Not a bad little amp actually.

-Some shitty *** EQ that I got for free.

-One Q-logic truck box.

-And the first box I ever made. 5/8" particle board, flathead screws, two different kinds of silicone, hot glue, and wood glue. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/sick.gif.b1847c8dabbfeeddbcf1a78052249e10.gif

Box leaked and rattled like a mofo.

Boy have I come a long way!

I was just thinking about this the other day.

My first setup LOL...I stole everything from sears (I worked there) so I had 4 10's and 3 sony 1000 watt 4 channel amps. I had them all wired in and there was a switch on the back for hi-current. So to make it "louder", I would switch that amp on to put it into 1-ohm mode ROFL.

Oh yeah, and I ran each speaker to each channel. Totally rocked ROFL

I also ran a few of the channels to 2 6X9's in the rear deck, 2 6X9's on the floor of my 89 pontiac grand prix and then to the plates in the front.

What else? Oh! I had all the power running from a fused plug inside the car.

I'm happy to report this was 11 years ago //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

My first system considered two 12" Rockford Fosgate P2's. In a prefab box with a sony 1000 Watt Peak Amp

I bought this setup the day P2's hit the market and rolled to my high school in the parking lot banging screw.

Everybody though this white boy had beats.

I honestly though there could be nothing better then these p2's and I had the loudest system in my highschool for about 3 months.

Amp was rated for 400 RMS X 2 ohm, which is all the old p2's could handle. 200 RMS per woofer.

I then trade in my old SVC p2s for the DVC p2's and sold the sony amp.

Bought a Fosgate 800.2a and ran my p2's with fosgate power.

That **** amp overheated but it "banged"

Again I remained the shit for another 3 months, and sold my system to this softmore right before school ended in the summer.

During which time I picked up 2 10" Infinity Kappa Perfect DVQ's

And at the cartoys tent event I ended up buying my JL 500/1 for 350 bucks with a 5 year warranty.

Had this enclosure custom made.

Rolled around with those infinitys for a good year

picked up a JL 300/4

a capacitor. LOL

and 2 pairs of sony xplod 6.5" componenets.

Ahhh first system in high school in an 89 beretta!

Kenwood tape deck (45watt peak X 4 channels) and kenwood 3 way 6 X 9's and 3"'s. Complete with an aiwa portable cd player that I used an adapter for the HU! lmao

Bought a beat jenson 75watt and a RF 10 (don't even remember what model) from a friend. The GF at teh time bought me a prefab bandpass with a plexi window from a pawn shop.

Thing really didn't hit that hard at all. Within a month that shiz got stolen in front of my apartment. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif They took the sub, box, 6X9's, the cd player, and worst of all 50+ CD's!!!

That was the killer, days before burning cds, so 50 retail cds x like 15 bucks a pop.

I cut out two holes in the baffle for a box that was for a single sub.

I guess I was just on a roll //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
