Noob looking for budget sound quality system.

Hello all, I am looking for a good SQ setup in my 2001 Honda Accord Coupe. I currently have an Alpine CDE-102 and some Polk Audio db651s in my front doors.

I was wondering what Sub and Midbass drivers to get?? I want to put the midbass drivers in the rear deck of my Accord with a sub in the trunk. I was also going to get a cheap 5 channel amp to power all of this if possible.

My goal is to get tight focused bass, specifically focused on the kick drum as I listen to alot of metal and hardcore.

Lastly, I was also wondering about trying some Phoenix Gold Componets (the ones everyone always mentions) up front in the doors and two Elemental Designs e3.6 Subwoofers in the rear decks. Is this even a good idea or should I scrap this haha?

Budget is 400-500 max.

With that budget, you're limited by what you can afford. You might be able to get some decent used stuff, or maybe a rare deal on eBay.

A starter set of door components:

Image Dynamics CXS65 $180

One decent sub:

Alpine Type-S 12" $100

Couple amps to run them:

Alpine F300 4ch, 300w $170

Alpine M500 mono, 500w $180

Out of your budget, and cables/install not included. I wouldn't call this a SQ system, but it's a start. Good luck!

im running 2 american bass XO 10s in my room in a sealed box on 200 watts a piece from a 2ch amp and it keeps up with all double pedal bass lines and hits lows surprisingly well. im listening to it now actually. got the subs for 50 bucks and box for free. amp was free for me too

400 bucks right there not including box and install. Use channels 1 and 2 for the components and the bridge the rear channels on the sub. The best bang for the buck I would do.

You dont have to spend a ton of cash to get good SQ. The system I brought to the OKC/DFW meet was under 600 bucks for everything and everyone that heard it was impressed.

buy a sundown E8 off here. that's 50 plus shipping. run it in a sealed box. you could get a smal 200 watt amp for like 50 off here also. or a small channel amp as u mentioned. this will give u what u want. it doesn't sound as if u wat SQ just want some bass that can keep up with ur music.
