hi im fairly new with car audio my last system was two alpine type s in a ported box with a soundstorm 750X2 and that system pounded until i blew it yesterday.

so that brings me to my question i was thinking about getting a adire audio brahma 15" mkII ive watched alot of videos and did alot of research on this sub from what i understand is that its 1600 watt rms and 4800 watt peak dual 2 ohm. So does anyone know anything about this sub what kinda amp would i have to use to push it im using it in my daily driver but i want it to be loud really loud like 130+ please somebody help me make up my decision

step one: throw out ANY and ALL "max/peak ratings" on anything car audio related. you don't want to know max (or what they call max), you want continuous (RMS) ratings.

and idk anything about that sub. but i pull upper 30's with my setup in sig, so breaking the 30 mark should be super easy with that sub.

you have some research to do, my friend //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

if you want to run that sub, research what type/size of enclosure you want (or what can fit). then research amps that do the power it needs at the right impedance. THEN address the electrical so you know what to build it up for.

what car, and what size (amp rating) alt?

its a 2000 Chevy Malibu i want to do a ported enclosure so i can get max spl and i was thinkin about getting a hifonics brutus the 2000 watt rms one

Right, so im assuming you have a 102 amp alternator,

if you will be running 1600w RMS from a hifonics 2000w mono then you will need:

1. Big three done

2. 0 gauge wire runs for battery (see below)

3. Second battery (HC2400 or equivalent)

4. Distro block with 4, 2 or 0 gauge to amp (doesnt really matter under 3 ft of distance)

5. 0 gauge wire run from neg on front battery to neg on second battery (optional)

So if you dont do step 5 then you will ground battery in trunk.

Now have at it.

Edit: Also I would recommend using a line driver to amplify signal from deck to get cleaner sound (I never do a build without one any more)
