The amp i have doesnt have a subsonic filter

im debating wheather i need one or not

the built in crossover for the amp has a range of 50-250Hz sloped @ 12db/Oct

the frequency response of the amp is rated at 20Hz-20kHz

does this mean that the amp wont send signals below 20Hz to my 2 10w3's?

Would a subsonic filter be needed at all in this case?

If it would be needed, would 20Hz be sufficient?

what about 30Hz

i was looking at harrisson labs active crossovers the ones that are 20Hz high pass and 30Hz high pass

to filter out all the inaudible low freq. bass

Any educated advice would be appreciated.

unless you are planning on giving it a ton of power, dont worry. if its a small amount you will be fine.

btw, im just south of you in los gatos (near san jose). i play soccer up in livermore every now and then //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

did you run the k-bell classic at LG?

hey guys! i'm back from my half your hiadus (sp?) from these forums!!!

i wanna build a slot port box now for my 2 10's so here's what's going down.

1) they are only MTX T6000's, rated at 250W Rms.... i am pushing below that right now becuz of my amps power. but u said u don't need a S.S.Filter if you are believe 600W ?

so i'm ok right?

2) in my sub manual i got with it, it shows a bar graph w/ response thru SPL VS. Tuning and it shows the sub @ it's highest SPL when tuned to 50Hz... is this really right?

most people have like tuning in 30's and low 40's.... would i be best to tune @ 50Hz or go to like 40-45?

Please help and thanks for all who help //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
