no sound

hi all new here, i have been playin around with stereos and such for 5-6 years now, but i recenetly was givin back an autotek amp i sold a few years ago, it is a 4 channel stealth 600.s, the ground wire inside the amp had come free so i put a gold terminal and put it back where it was originally mounted. i hooked the amp back up in place of my sub amp, got a green light so it isnt in warning but the amp plays extremely quiet...and when i just kinda prop the rca jacks in the terminals then it seems as if the bass boost works (distorted) but when i plug them all the way in goes back to really really quiet (barely heard).. does this sound like my rca terminals are back or something inside the amp has burned up??? thanks a bunch in advance,sorry so long

are you sure your gains aren't all the way down? did you try new rca's?

if the ground had gone bad while the previous owner had been using it,or if ur repair wasn't done completely, there is a chance that it grounded thru the rca's. if that happened, the inputs could be burnt up at either the amp or the h/u..

my advice, quit using it till u can get someone to look at it...u could be tearing up more then just ur amp.

the output from the head unit is good because it works on my other amp, so it must be the inputs on the amp because he said it stopped played right in the middle of using it, so it had to ground out i suppose. is it not possilbe to order new rca terminals and put them on yourself becuase without sending it away it will be hard to get it fixed around here
