no sound

I know this may seem very stupid, but are your RCA's in the correct input on the amp? If so, are they in tightly?
(Some amps have in/out RCA slots, maybe he accidentally stuffed them into the output..?)

There are a nice long list of possible problems, trial and error is going to be the solution here. Just keep on posting //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

EDIT: 350z, are you wasted or something? Lol, normally your posts seem very coherent, but this whole thread your not using any conjunctions or preposition words, your just stating nouns and verbs so it seems. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

not drunk just multi tasking

sorry if it is not reading good

my bad

Yes, we've all realized this. Accidents happen though, and it's very possibly you accidently knocked out your RCA's or something while adjusting this. Or maybe you set your low-pass filter to like 100hz and that's why. I know on my GP3k it's adjustable up to 250hz. If you were fumbling with knobs in the dark I can definitely see that as possible.
ill go check it out

EDIT: filter is off

check those filters and let us know jojo. Also, what kind of amp is it? It doesn't really matter, but I like knowing what I'm troubleshooting //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

planet audio big bang 1350.1 mono 900 x 1 @ 2

1350 x 1 @ 1

on 13 volts
Hm, nice looking amps :] They have a 250hz filter, so I think it may be possible that that knob got cranked by accident. But I don't think the slope would be steep enough to completely cut off all movement, but depending on his HU setting it's a strong possibility.

i emailed mark at mach 5 audio so well see what he says. i think im just going to take it somewhere and let them deal with it. im too frustrated with this...

like i said before, it makes a scratching noise when i push it in and 350zspl said that means its probably blown, so that must be it. i have checked my wires 10 times, amp is up and running, just no sound = blown...

My guess is this isn't Mach5's problem. Not to be mean or anything, but I think this is user error.

Let's go over the DMM.

Digital%20Multimeter-06.jpg

Now, on your multimeter, did you have it set to "200" in the Ω range? If so, did you have the red probe in the proper hole for Ω / continuity reading?

Most DMM's have 3-4 holes for the probe leads to plug into. One for voltage, one for resistance, one for amperage, and one for ground/negative.

and yes, that's possible. But you may be pushing down on it crooked and rubbing the coil yourself. Unplugging your sub should not blow it in the least bit. Unless the wires happened to come into contact with some kind of power and heat up the voice coil to the point it unwound or burnt. But, you would have heard your sub blowing if that's the case.

Also, blown subs still read resistance on the coils. Not 0.0 (most of the time of course)
