no sound

i have a 350 alpine amp hooked up but i cant get kno sound out of it, it powers because the light comes on but i cant get any sound out of it by tapin in the speaker wires or with audio cables, but if i unplug it all and hook uo my 600w rokford it works perfect but the alpne wont, i took it apart to see what could be wrong but dont notice anything fried, would anyone be able to tell me what to look for that could be bad, and its not the settings everything is hooked up rite and it got power.
