No sound

I have a pioneer cd player in my 97 Saturn. A few weeks ago, the sound came and went for a few days, then there was no sound at all. I took it out and rewired the player, but still no sound. The system still works. I didn't think that all four of my speakers would go at once. Any suggestions?

not sure how much it would cost to fix, never done it. but probably. before trashing it though make sure wiring is right again. it does power on. what model is it?

yeah, i don't know that deck. i would assume it doesn't. if it's still hooked up play with it for a minute if it has a menu of some kind. any mute buttons on the front and so on.

A problem with one speaker or speaker wire can kill the sound to all speakers. The head unit's amplifier goes into a protect mode. The best way to find out is to disconnect all the speakers, then connect them one at a time. If individual speakers work, then you can find the one that's causing the problem. If no speaker works, then your head unit is the problem.

x2 on the process of elimination
