no sound up front

hi all. i have a pioneer 80 prs with a 4 channel amp. im bridgeing the front and rerar channels to my components and running my front door speakers off head unit. pioneer manual says to turn off internal amp when using an external amp but i can only get sound from my door speakers with internal amp on.any problems with doing this?
