No sound? Pioneer 6300ub in '01 Tahoe

Alright, so I just installed a Pioneer 6300ub in my '01 Tahoe. If I hop in and go, the stereo does just fine. However, if I turn the key off and listen to the radio, i have to remove the key for 10-15the seconds and havw the door open, then restart the car in order to get sound. The unit powers on, keeps its presets and such, and registers audio on the equalizer, but nothing comes through the speakers until i remove the key and open the door. Any ideas? Thanks!

Is the HU the only aftermarket equipment your working with. Also did you attach the remote from the HU to the pink wire on the secondary harness during install?
