No in the area has 1" mdf.. Can I glue two sheets of 1/2" together?

What subs are you building the box for? If you are going to run a lot of power, you might end up splitting a panel on the inside and not even know it. Mdf chips in your spider is definitely not what you want.

a 6$ bottle of TB-II and no roller needed just use a scrap of thin poster board and spread the glue out all over then tack it together with a brad nailer to hold ot til the glue is dry

LN will never be as strong as a dedicated wood glue...

tests have been done and proven it more than once...

I used to think LN was better as well.... I was wrong..

No roller is needed but then again neither is a table saw or a router... but they sure do make it easier and more quality of a job.
