no fukin sound

i need help with my channels on my mono amp i have my subs wired to present the amp with a 1 ohm load and im getting no sound. my amp is on and i think im confused on how i run the rca wires do i need to get this y adapter rca wire because wwhen i plug the rca wires in the imputs l and r im not getting noise ppl plz help

umm you should have power ground and remote hooked up to your amp to power then you need rcas to send signal/music to the amp

one end goes in right and left of input match with the colors and the other end needs to be plugged into your Hu pre out or loc preout

and make sure your preout setting on your hu is on

you are plugged into the OUT on the head unit and INPUT on the amp? are you bridged correctly?

yeah iv got my rca wires ran just like a 2 channel amp i run them into the imputs on the amp and i have wired the subs right and the speaker outputs are wired + to + neg to neg this is right isnt it

are you bridged? if it isn't marked where to bridge on the amp, consult the manual. some amps bridge in different places than others.

your rca's are correct. lets concentrate on the sub hookups and bridging and move on to gain setting. what brand is the amp and head unit?

usually. alot of amps can run in 2 channel though. what brand? head unit and amp

ok listen my manuel does not say anything about bridgeing but it says you can use the radio/cd designated mono line output or a full range stereo line output for full range stereo line output you will need an optional y adapter

He said mono...that means 1 channel...no bridging...some amps have two set of outputs making it easier to hook up more than one speaker, but it is still the same channel on the inside

The only thing I can think of is that if its a Pioneer radio you have the option of turning off the sub output

try running a new set of RCAs...just drape it over the seats to check and see if thats the problem before you go pulling out the old ones

disconnect the subs at the amp and put a meter on the wires make sure you have good connections at the wire

if they are dual voice-coil make sure the coils arent wires out of phase

thats all I can think of
