no 0 gauge left over for big 3, would dual 4 gauge work?

i just wired up the battery to chassis ground with 0 gauge. tommorrow my 240 amp alt will get here and i dont have enough 0 gauge left over for the engine block to chassis ground and the alt to battery positive wire.

i still have a shit load of 4 gauge though, would using two runsof 4 gauge in a 0 gauge ring termial be good enough for the rest of the nig 3?

yes, but hes got a 240A alt coming, 4 awg cant take 240 amps...right?

no but there two runs of it. its almost as much wire as 0 gauge and its all gonna be together in the terminal. i dont think you know what i mean

Its better than nothing, and or pretty close to 1/0 ga. I upgraded the big three with 4 ga, but Im only running 1000watts. If you put it in some chafing loom, you wont even see it.

yeah 4 guage is supposed to take about 130 amps, i didnt see what his alt was rated

well knu's website says their 4 awg is about half of 1/0...but the amperage of 1 4awg run is 120A...i doubt two runs would be able to take 240A

if you have enough for 3 than why not. Just stuff them all in the same 1/0 ring terminal
