awesome.

wtf were they doing cutting random wires?
Yea very hard to cut through a random wire while installing an alarm. Most of your wires for an alarm installation are right in the steering column. Specifically on OP's truck. A select few are in the driver kick panel. Guy at BB should rethink his job posistion . OP, Which side of your truck were your RCA's ran down?

I work at BBY, and even with my autotechs being VERY intelligent about car audio, i still pulled the fuse and undid my remote wires when i took it in for tinting. NOBODY knows your car like you do, so never put it in someone elses hands.

I do the same for my oil changes too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

It is funny when people dis Chain store 12v techs. When I worked at smaller more high end shops I saw guys come from and go to chain stores. Some of them knowing enough to get by and some with mecp certs and a lot of knowledge. The same applied with people from other shops. The funny thing is back then~2000, circuit city actually had pretty decent standards, atleast around here. There was a lot of stuff you could get away with at the smaller shops that they would shitcan you in a heartbeat for.

LOL@$90 rcas in a car

exactly. back then, circuit city ONLY soldered. every single electrical connection had to be soldered.

But with any chain store, you're going to get people who do amazing installs, some who do decent installs, and some who have no business being in the bay.

You just want to find someone who doesn't ****.

and yeah, I'm an autotech also //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif However, there ARE some great guys that work for this company. The autotech section of best buy's employee forum is leaps and bounds ahead of this one, in terms of 12volt technical info.

and btw, breaking something in a car without informing the customer, or trying to conceal it, is supposed to be grounds for termination.
