Okay, took a break on car audio because of the recent So Cal fires, but I'm back.

How's this sound for a used system? I might be able to get it for on the cheap.

Two Alpine ZR-10s

Do all these work together well? And how much you think I should try and bargain for? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

They're gonna go onto my Mustang's Mach 460 stock head unit, so if that makes any difference.

Thanks to anyone who helps.

Thanks, couldn't find those anywhere!

But if I get these subs, what should I talk the guy down to? He's throwing in the box, so no worries there. I can always make a new one.

I have $280 total, to spend on my system right now. So I'm trying to pick up stuff, save a lil more, get more stuff, know what I mean?

Why not scour the for sale section here? Plenty of great deals.
Agreed. You can possibly get a decent setup with ~300 bucks. Building your own box can save quite a bit of money.. Also remember to include all wiring/accessories in your budget though..it adds up. For a budget subwoofer, I recommend Mach5audio. Great woofers for the price. They have 10"-18" subs, so they should have something that fits your needs. Find a used mono amp in the classifieds for ~$150-175 and build your own box and you should be able to stay within budget.

well.. for $280 u can get a little bit of something.. personally i never seen those alpine subs before.. the last time i saw a white alpine cone was the older e series... anyways

subs:http://sonicelectronix.com/item_8632_Pioneer+Premier+TS-W1007D4.html $54 each.. eh.. nothing stellar.. but its a pair of decent subs $108

box:http://sonicelectronix.com/item_10355_Dual+10-+3-4+MDF+Sealed+Subwoofer+Enclosure+OB.html# $30 for a sealed box.. which i think those pioneers sound fairly good in.... total so far.. $138

amp:http://www.cadencestore.com/ProductCart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=125&idproduct=381 $99 free shipping 2 yr warranty.. eh.. total $237 before shipping.. so it should come to around the same price u wanted to spend originally anyways and all brand new... hm

I'm trying to do something local.
I like to see them before I buy 'em, and I like to leave with them right away. Shipping = *****.
oh.. well.. heh.. nm then... i agree tho.. those subs seem to be alright, but box and amp.. eh.. i dont think the amp has enough oomph for those subs.. maybe for some component speakers or something tho.... hmm

Are the Mach5audio M Series subs better than the Alpine ZRs?

But online is pretty much not an option. I have no credit card besides the above reasons.

EDIT: Yea, I'm probably just gonna buy the subs and I think he's throwing in the box, so it will work for temporary.
