I'm lookin to buy a new amp around 1000 or 1200 rms for daily use. Wanna go bigger, but only have this car for a little so don't want to sink a lot of money in a bunch of electrical upgrades. I'm considering are the sundown or orion 1200d, more the sae. Any others?

Ohh and I shouldnt need upgrades like optima batt or HO altenator to push that amp right just Big 3 or is that even necessary. Thanks

1 ohm. and can i get away with 4 ga for now? Moneys tight and don't want to but 1/0 wire till I upgrade bigger if i don't have to. Thanks

4 gauge will be fine for about 1000 watts or so. If you plan to upgrade though you might as well just go 1/0 and be done with it.

dude why even bother starting a thread ? you answer your own questions n do wtf ever you want anyways. lol
The OP wants the car audio dot com collective to stroke his feeble little ego and make him feel good about the choices he made.

Then again, he could just be thinking out loud.

Wanted to see what others thought about it. I considered the Cadence which was the only other suggested and decided on sundown. Also wanted to kno if a HO alt was necessary so imo there was a purpose of this thread. If you don't like it then don't bother reading it and more importantly don't was your time posting it to stroke your feeble little ego to make you feel good about yourself.

Why bother if you aren't going to listen to their advice and end up doing whatever the hell you want anyway?

ZOMG, you chose the car audio dot com boner-riffic Sundown amplifier. Do you want a cookie? Congratulations, you are like every other "me too" kid on this forum running a Sundown product because someone else on the forum is running one. I give you an E for effort and a F for originality. Feel better about yourself now?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Truth hurts, doesn't it?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

As for that comment about my ego being stroked.... At least I have the balls to do whatever the hell I want without relying on a collective group to reaffirm my choices! Here's a thought, try something original for a change of pace! You might be surprised with the results.

Wow that was a really great speech. Ever think about how some people have a very limited income and $200 for a bnib sundown 1200 is dumb to pass up regardless of whether everybody and their brother are using that amp. As for the comment about your balls...well let's just say for everyone's sake and your self-esteem //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif, I hope they drop soon. But until they do I'm sure I can keep expecting nightly visits from your girlfriend //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif Good luck with that.
