Every truck our family has ever owned has been Chevy. Never had problems. Only stuff we've done is maintenance.

I forget what year the bailout was, and am not going to take the time to look it up.

My friend's old 95 was a beast though. He sold it to some kid who ran it with NO OIL for a MONTH after he poked a hole in the oil pan being stupid. Still runs to this day

BTW people, MAINSTREAM brands like Rockford and TC sounds brought the spl/SQL subs to what they are today.

The TRF was pretty much a god woofer when it came out, LMS ultra is still probably the best SQL woofer ever made. They did actual engineering prior to releasing those woofers. Not just "big motor, big basket, lots of coil".

The EMF ERMAGERD is a good example of how "power handling and excursion", can equal FAIL very easily. Cuz those subs ****

Good point 72impala. The LMS Ultra is a legendary driver for sure. Very hard to come by now. Talking Low end that driver right there defines every part of low end you can imagine. So hard to come by now. I laugh everytime i see a EMF lol Those couple of drivers i believed paved the way for others. TRF is one of my favorite drivers ever.

About the part that FU is efficient..
Perhaps it is but the Ethos should have never been in the test.

The Ethos is in a totally different power class than the FU.

You give the Ethos 2-3k of power.. then we will see how much louder it gets over any of those drivers tested.

On the Klippel if i remember correctly, the Ethos is rated for 1800w mechanical to xmax, 2500w thermal and 6300w for brief runs.

And someone earlier in this thread mentioned sundown and 6" of excursion..

What about DSS' Magnetar?

That is suppose to have enormous xmax, something like 55-65mm xmax one way, let alone what the xmech is.

Good to know, I was expecting to upgrade to a 7k amp if i went with the ethos.

I had two LOADED Chevy SUVs in 2004-2006. Biggest POS on the road. Cheap *** parts and finishes that just faded or fell off. Even today they are crap for what you pay. Went to test drive a BRAND NEW caddy STS and the rear door handle just fell off.

Actually, the handle for the tailgate on my 07 Silverado broke last night. That I will give you. It was really cold though..

My dad and I replaced the plastic door handle on our neighbor's Explorer twice though. Plastic does not do good in the cold.

As for the truck with no oil, he just drove it to school and back each day. You can either believe me or not. I really don't care

It was a brand new on the show room Cadillac. They are cheap made junk with big motors. Just like Dodge, they use the worse leather ever
