news: WMD's found in Iraq

That's why I hate the internet. Too many iggnorant people;)

Was there really a question of Iraq having them in the first place:confused: More so the question of what they did with them, or where they are...

yes, we spent billions of dollars to find.... 20 year old nerve gas and some rusty nades?? come on.... we needed oil... plain and simple //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I guess they're not "wmd enough" for you nay sayers. It just goes to show you how ****ing retarded some people can be. Smell some of that mustard gas and then tell me how you really feel.

Im waiting for the "bush lied" people to come out and admit that they were wrong.

Yes mustard gas is lethal, but the potential of this chemical warefare can kill hundreds? thousands at best? Weapons of mass destruction kill hundreds of thousands and is in a catergory by itself. Your term ,"They're not "wmd enough" is a valid assumption.

It really doesn't matter what the justification of war was, I knew it was personal when bushy came on the T.V. and in a whimpering voice: "These are the guys who try kill my daddy." There can be nothing more personal about revenge in that statement. If a few viles of mustard gas and a ruthless dictator are means to invade a sovereign nation well put the following countries next on our list:

Cuba

Venezuela

Tunisia

Iran

North Korea

Turkministan (however it is spelled)

Congo

Man Haliburton is going to be one very busy company over the next few years...

Iraq violated over 12 UN resolutions over the course of more than a decade.

Oil for food was used to provide oil kickbacks to countrys like France, Germany, and Russia, while the Iraqi people starved.

Saddam is considered by the UN to be one of the most Genocidal dictators in history, right up there with Pol Pot and Hilter.

Saddam posted fliers on numerous occasions throughout Iraq , stating that if your son or daughter commited a ******* bombings aganst any western interest, you would recieve an award.

Failed to declare weapons which we knew they possesed post Gulf war, but somehow were "never destroyed".

Provided safe haven and funding for various terror cells and training camps throughout the middle east. (He provided a life-saving blood transfusion to Zarqauwi, the guy that beheaded Nick Berg)

I've got more facts if anyone wants them. People need to realize we are now AT WAR with global terrorism (WW3). People also need to realize that in ANY war, you will have civilian and military calsualities alike. There is no preventing this. It is a reality which people must face.

Any militray historian will tell you the Iraq war so far has been one of the most succesfull military operations in history. We have occupied a mid-eastern country for over 3 years, and lost just over 2,500 troops...impossible by all military guestimations, considering we were estimating losing 10,000 plus in the just the first few months taking Bagdad. Iraq has been able to vote in a democratic parliment, a feat that was also not seen as possible within this timeframe. Compared to Vietnam, where we lost 55,000+, Iraq does not even hold a flame. This is not to downplay any of the lives that have been lost so far, for they are each precious, but just to put things in perspective. And yes, there will be civilian casualities, but the amount of lives that will be saved in the long run, compared to millions Saddam would have buthered anyway, in my opinion, is worth it.

All this "war for oil" crap is getting old as well. It would have cost less money and lives to invade Canada for their oil than it would have Iraq, It just doesn't make sense..

Speaking of oil...Not to mention the fact that we cant even drill in Anwar, a stretch of land set aside SPECIFICALLY TO DRILL OIL, because we might interupt the migratory pattern of some wierd species of elk. We havent had a new refinery open in this country in over 30 years because of looney extreme global warming freaks like Al Gore.

The numbers affected would be entirely dependant on the delivery system used to administer the agent. If you truly feel that mustard gas in only minimally effective as far as number of people affected then you have no idea of the true nature of the substance.

From what I remember as justification for going to Iraq bush said saddam was developing weapons of mass destruction. Sitting on a 20 year old stock pile doesnt really count as development in my book.

His justification was Hussein's failure to report/destroy the WMDs he already had that we were made aware of when he used them on his own people.
