news: WMD's found in Iraq

I hear you on that. It's definitely a noble cause. I think it's sort of funny how complacent people get about these types of things. They did a survey the other day with people in states that North Korea may be able to hit with a missle, and people mostly just shrugged. They say 25% of HS grads can't even find europe on a map, 50% cant find Iraq. 40% can't name the Governer of their own state. If you can't do that, I dont think u should veen have the right to vote.

Having said that I think the overall mission as a whole was the right thing to do even if it was improperly motivated...
improperly motivated wars are not something we should accept. ask most of the families of our fallen soldiers i'm sure they dont agree with it. and for the most part yes this time we got away with it. but what about next time? what if this asshat we call a president gets mad at another country for his own personal reasons and starts a much larger conflict that makes it onto our soil and kills hundreds of thousands of americans? I dont think we should have a person like this in the white house with his finger on the button!!

used white phosphorus against the iraqi people which is a chemical weapon. So knowing this if he gave the order to use chemical weapons on us he's no worse than us.

oh please, white phosphorus?! Thats an incandescent. you could give the chemical formula for gun powder and say its a "chemical weapon"

"How sulfur mustard (mustard gas) works

Adverse health effects caused by sulfur mustard depend on the amount people are exposed to, the route of exposure, and the length of time that people are exposed.

Sulfur mustard is a powerful irritant and blistering agent that damages the skin, eyes, and respiratory (breathing) tract.

It damages DNA, a vital component of cells in the body.

Sulfur mustard vapor is heavier than air, so it will settle in low-lying areas. "

"How sarin works

The extent of poisoning caused by sarin depends on the amount of sarin to which a person was exposed, how the person was exposed, and the length of time of the exposure.

Symptoms will appear within a few seconds after exposure to the vapor form of sarin and within a few minutes up to 18 hours after exposure to the liquid form.

All the nerve agents cause their toxic effects by preventing the proper operation of the chemical that acts as the body’s “off switch” for glands and muscles. Without an “off switch,” the glands and muscles are constantly being stimulated. They may tire and no longer be able to sustain breathing function.

Sarin is the most volatile of the nerve agents, which means that it can easily and quickly evaporate from a liquid into a vapor and spread into the environment. People can be exposed to the vapor even if they do not come in contact with the liquid form of sarin.

Because it evaporates so quickly, sarin presents an immediate but short-lived threat"

Those are WMD's my friend.

Here is white phosphorus:

"What is white phosphorus?

White phosphorus is a colorless, white, or yellow waxy solid with a garlic-like odor. It does not occur naturally, but is manufactured from phosphate rocks.

White phosphorus reacts rapidly with oxygen, easily catching fire at temperatures 10 to 15 degrees above room temperature.

White phosphorus is used by the military in various types of ammunition, and to produce smoke for concealing troop movements and identifying targets.

It is also used by industry to produce phosphoric acid and other chemicals for use in fertilizers, food additives, and cleaning compounds. Small amounts of white phosphorus were used in the past in pesticides and fireworks."

please do your reading before claiming the US is as guility as saddam //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Like saying gunpowder is a chemical weapon.... haha gun powder will not go through your clothes leaving them completly intact then react to your skin buring your flesh to the bone.

25% of high school grads cannot find an entire continent??? I might can see not being able to locate a specific country but a whole continent? (Especially considering there are only 7 of them on the whole planet...)

Just to push him out of kuwait and not remove him from power? which war are you talking about? Also remember the whole "war on terror" thing? which started with a hunt for osama bin laden. well bush said when asked about the hunt for osama that he really didn't care about him anymore and was more concerned with getting saddam because he isafter all the man that tried to kill his dad. Now that wasn't an exact quote but if you'd like i can find it. And to me that sounds like he had personal reasons for wanting to go after saddam. And why are we looking to negotiations with countries like iran and n. korea who openly admit to having nuclear weapons programs. why dont we just storm in and take over in these places as well?Ohh and i'm not quoting enemy propoganda when i state we used white phosphorus. It has been reported by our troops and reported in many independant news papers across the globe. Do you really want links cause i will be more than happy to provide them for you. hell i even know of a link to a very educational video on the subject you can watch.
"The fact that he tried to kill my father and my wife shows the nature of the man," Bush said when asked whether he is angry about the plot. "And he not only tried to kill my father and wife, he's killed thousands of his own citizens. ... He's cold-blooded, he's a dictator, and he's a tyrant."

That Gulf war objective was to force Saddam from occupying Kuwait, not to overthrow his goverment or put him out of power. Regime change was not part of the objective. Post some of your links about those chem weapons too. I'd like to start picking them apart, becuase I think I know what your talking about. Did you know that at least 2 US soldiers have admitted to falsiying info re this in return for bribes from unamed sources? Don't believe everything the media throws at you pal. Talk to some of the guys who have been there if you want the real picture. Do you really think that killing Osama Bin Laden will make a diffrence? He's cut off from the outside world, on the run, and doesnt have the ability to control forces with any zealous whatsoever.

ok i wil start putting together some links for you. but i'd like to see a link to those two guys who got paid to lie about this. And as far as talking to people who are over there.... does my brother count?

I think that this quote came later than the one i was talking about. But I am not sure. I just dont remember him mentioning his wife.

What about myself? or 2 of my best freinds? or my cousin who was killed. His parents are proud of his service to his country. I would have to say that 95% of the people I met over there were gracious for our presence. The one's who were not, more often than not were islamic terrorists, who we quickly dispatched.

I'm sure his parents are proud of his service! Thats not what I said. I said they probably wouldnt agree with the cause for us being in iraq. And it was decided very early on that the main abjective was to overthrow saddam and to establish a new government in that shithole of a country.

"There's no doubt his hatred is mainly directed at us," Mr. Bush said of Mr. Hussein. "There's no doubt he can't stand us. After all, this is a guy that tried to kill my dad at one time."

"After all, this is the guy who tried to kill my dad."

"Let us not forget," he said of Saddam before the Iraq war, "this man tried to kill my father."
