Newby help for getting everything together.

This is my first sound system build ever, and have a few questions. I just purchased 2 SA-10 d4's. Gonna purchase a Hifonics Hfi 1500 (one of my questions). If someone could help me out by answering these, that'd be very helpful. Also, I'm trying to get a box design from Buck.

1.) I have stock everything right now in my 04 civic. Is the "big 3" needed for my set up.

2.) Do I need an aftermarket head unit

3.) Will the Hifonics Hfi 1500 be enough to power my subs? It's going to be my first amp, so keeping it on the lower side of prices. Probably will upgrade it soon though. But is it nice enough for now? or do I need more power?

4.) Like I said, this is my first build. I have very little knowledge with what I need. If there's something you think I need, please let me know (Like an extra battery or something).

I am very new to this, so please bare with me. =)

Thanks

If I were you I would get a BRZ 1200/1700.

1. Big 3 should be done when doing anything above 1000w, it can only help you.

2. You don't need one, but if you decide to not get one you will need to get a line out convertor, which you use to tap into your rear speakers and then it converts it to an RCA output for your amplifiers

3. The SA line is a bit underrated so they can take more around 800-1000w a piece. Like I said above I would go with the BRZ, as it's higher quality. Alternatively if you want an inexpensive amp check out the Audiopipe 1500 @ vminnovations.com

4. I'm not very familiar with car setups since I've only had an SUV that had a more powerful electrical setup. Chances are you may need a battery in the back, but I'll let someone else chime in.

Do you plan on doing the install yourself or having a shop do it?

I think I'm going to have a shop do it if I can find a good one locally. I just want to get everything together before I go to the shop.

prolly not a bad idea ,just remember they will try to tell you that you bought crap so they can sell you something thats even more crap or really expensive.i'd get everything first then try to find some one on here who can install it for you.i think there is a couple of guys on here from your area.cuz a shop will only warranty their work not your equipment.
