Newby Box questions

I'm setting up my first system, trying to get 2 SA D2 10's. I've been reading and I think I want to do a ported box. I'm trying to keep some trunk space in my civic, and was wondering if there's a size difference in the boxes. Are ported bigger than sealed?

Also, would anyone have any recommendations on box specs?

Thanks!

Alright, and I was also looking into building my own. Does anyone have experience building their own? I'm somewhat handy building things, and to me building a box for subs doesn't seem too hard. I will probably get the design from "Buck" on here, who designs for a dollar. Or is building the box more complicated than I think?

It can get complicated if you want it to be, lol. But if you are looking for something simple but effective, sure, a standard ported enclosure is not hard to build at all. As long as you have the equipment and a general know how, you will be ok and always make sure your measurements are perfect before you cut anything. Let us know how you make out. Post some pics or something when you're done or during.
