Newbie with new Rockford Fosgate!

Alright there people, just bought 1 12" RF P3 shallow mount sub. Just wondering how these subs are rated? At 400 Watts RMS they seems to be pretty decent and i've heard they are great for SQ.

Any advice/ opinions much appreciated!

shallow subs in my opionion are created for small mounting depths

i would only buy one if my mounting depth was limited

if i was looking for sound quality as priority # 1 , than shallow subs is not what i would be looking at

does not mean that it won;t sound good however

friend of mine ran one for a bit, he had it on ~300 watts or so, sounded decent, was nothing special though. lacks on the low end.

only 2 shallow subs I have ever heard that got down and had good SQ

and the MM1040 from polk...

the rest sound horrible imho...

How about jl 500.1, rockford fosgate subs or kicker kx400.1?

I will have to wire the subs to the amps at 2 ohms and i think 400 watt rms rated amp would give the best outcome right?

300-500 is what you will want to look for, you could always look into this. it will do every thing you want for it and will cost you way less than the 2 options you mentioned
