Good Morning Folks

Wife bought me a Dual XVM279BT for my 09 Corolla. I am putting it in this weekend but then realized it doesn't have wireless Apple Car Play which isn't a big deal to me but am wondering if when I do connect it via wired will it show whatever's on my phone on the screen? Like if I open Apple Maps will it show in the screen?

You could control the radio from your phone but that's about it. I do not think you can, but if you could, for on screen phone it would have to have an HDMI jack. Then you could use an Microsoft wireless display adapter to transmit. Issue with this method is that phone screen has to be on, and only the phone controls the screen. This is theoretical because the one I use is actually named Appradio. So it was programmed to play as such. I also use that display adapter on dumb televisions. I watch all my shows through Miracast.
