Newbie question about "big 3 wiring upgrade"

Hi guys, i'm new to this car audio stuff and I'm trying to do as much search as possible but I have one question. I will be installing a kicker CVX sub with ZX7501 amp in an IS350. From doing the reading, a cap is a waste of money and big 3 wiring upgrade is the way to go. I want to know if the big 3 upgrade neccessary for my setup? Thanks in advance for all your help.

question a bit off topic:

I want more of SQ than SP so will a sealed box be okay in the trunk? Is it okay for me to get audio signal from the stock sub wiring? My car come with the Mark Levinson system and it has something like 13 speakers so I don't know where to get the audio signal from.

Well "The Big3"

Yes I would say every car can use it.. it wont hurt & can always be usful

You Will need

0Awg Power & Ground

0Awg Power From The Battery to the Alt

0Awg From The Battery To The Chasies (Ground)

0Awg From The Battery To The Engin Block (Ground)

A Ring Termanal for each end of wire ( Check Your Car to see what will Fit)

The Sub Box

Sealed would be fine.. but Ported dose not meen bad sound..

If The Ported Box Is Tuned to 32-35Hz it will still be loud & Sound good..

All depends on the install..

Can You Get Signal from the OE Sub?

Well I cant say it will work for sure cuz I have not installed on an IS300

Are you planing on using the OE Amp?

You can Add a inline converter to get signal from the OE Amp & Run RCA's to the new amp & Sub.. The Factory amp may be under powered

You May want to test the Ohm loud of the OE Sub to see what you can run the new sub at for using the OE Amp..

IT WILL hurt the car IF and ONLY IF u dont wire it correctly...

Otherwise hell yea it helps a bit

thanks for the inputs guys, I will do the upgrade soon. My car come equipped with HID, if I run the setup before the wiring upgrade and it'll draw current, will that have any significant effects on the HID system?
